In August 2022 and August 2023: For two weeks each summer, I look after a sibling group of four children (born in 2022, 2018, 2016 and 2012) from dawn to dusk in a large house in the south of France. I had the opportunity to discover the routine of a 7-month-old baby and then a 1 1/2-year-old the following summer, involving bottles, naps, diapers and early-learning games. I also took care of children who couldn’t swim around the pool, organizing fun games in complete safety. As the family are Londoners, I spoke English and
French with the children.
Since September 2022: I’ve been tutoring four children aged 9 to 14. From CM2 to 3ème, I juggle math, French, history and even art exercises. With my studious and scholastic personality, I’ve been able to pass on my rigorous methodologies and acquired knowledge so that my “pupils” can improve. I received good feedback from several parents who appreciated the fact that I adapted to each child by proposing fun and original exercises (songs, flashcards, etc.) While adopting a pedagogical attitude, I kept my authority so that
the work was effective and methodical.
Since September 2020: On the Babysittor app, I’m brought in to look after children from new families who have occasional babysitting needs.Nevertheless, I stay in touch with most of them and take care of their children (from 2 months to 10 years old) in the evenings (bath, dinner, bedtime stories and bedtime). I have also had the opportunity to go on school outings in the 17th arrondissement of Paris many times in order to act as a relay between the school and the parents during variable time slots.
Since September 2019: Since I was 13, I took over from my brother and sister to look after our neighbors’ children (from the age of 6 months to 12 years).By word of mouth, I was able to develop a real network of families who considered me to be a caring and cheerful young lady, but authoritarian and adamant when necessary.My tall stature and seriousness inspired confidence in parents, who entrusted me with their children in complete serenity.
Since September 2018: I look after my three cousins born in 2013, 2014 and 2018. I organize various activities such as card games and drawings, then organize their dinner and bedtime.I’ve had the opportunity to look after them in the evenings but also during the vacations. I’ve seen them grow up, and I still look after them regularly whenever my aunts and uncles need it.Often mischievous, these cousins, whom I consider to be my little brothers, reinforce my ability to supervise them and my sense of responsibility, given their
sometimes cheeky attitudes.
I’m a member of a large family with many cousins.I am therefore deeply attached to the values of mutual aid and trust. During family reunions, I’ve had the opportunity to look after the youngest children and organize a variety of fun activities.
