June to September 2023: I did several evening baby-sittings for a little boy aged 1 and a half, also at home. I bathed him, fed him, read him lots of stories and cuddled him to sleep. I’m still in contact with the mum if she needs any more baby-sittings.

Between July 2020 and Jan 2022: I looked after the daughter of one of my father’s work colleagues. When I started babysitting, little Charline was 1 and a half years old. Before the first babysitting session, I went to their house to meet the little girl and we hit it off straight away. I looked after her for 1 week while her parents were at work, then I looked after her all night until the following afternoon. Other little opportunities came up in the evening. Charline and I played lots of little games at home (building a tree house out of cushions and blankets, listening to music, drawing, going to the pool, etc.), but we also went to the park several times. I’m still in contact with the parents if they need any more baby-sittings.

I started babysitting (unofficially) when my 2 little cousins, Benjamin, now 14, and Baptiste, now 9, were born (from 2012), and after enjoying all the time I spent with them, I wanted to do more and more with other people. With my little cousins, I gave them a bottle (and then, as they got older, I fed them), changed their nappies, gave them a bath, put them to bed, did their homework, took them to the cinema and restaurants, played sports and board games… Today I continue to look after them from time to time.
