2018-2021: I worked with French family who wanted their children to maintain English level after living in USA for a Year. My duties were: pick up after school help with homework, speak to children in English, play game and do other activities, (sewing, knitting, baking)prepared dinner.
2020-2021 – Stage en crèche:
– Immersive English program for babies and young children.
– Morning ritual reading stories and singing nursery rhymes in English
– During the changing, playing and feeding in English’
2007-2018: Work with French family who wanted to help their children learn and improve English level. My duties were: Pick up after school help with English homework; spoke with children in English and different activities at home, reading, cooking etc; took children activities. During summer holidays spent time in the countryside with children, went swimming, nature walks.
I am originally from New York. I come to France my first time during my university studies, I was Philosophy and French major. And fell in love with the city. During my studies I worked both as an English teacher, to adults and as a babysitter with children.
My studies in Philosophy lead my to the question of the Philosophy of Education As I worked as a babysitter during my studies. I focused my attention towards educating children and the question of the acquisition of language skills.
My work as a babysitter helped because as I was able to work one on one with children and learn more about their developed academically, socially, mentally and physically. In addition I worked with young babies in Creche developing language program to help them to become bilingual. I continued my work with children, moving to a Montessori school where the goal was encouraging creative and independent thinking in children as well as developing positive discipline.
