Z’animals in Paris
Did you know that Paris does not only house Parisians? In this city, you will also find animals from different origins. To discover them, there are two places: the Ménagerie du Jardin des Plantes and the Zoological Park of Vincennes. During this afternoon, our little explorers for a day will have the choice of going to discover one of these two places.
Option 1: Visit the Ménagerie of the Jardin des Plantes
Since 1794, the Jardin des Plantes has a zoo. The Ménagerie houses about 1,200 animals from 180 different species, most of which are in danger of extinction. During this walk, children will be able to discover these animals (orangutans, panthers, pandas, turtles, crocodiles, lizards, insects, spiders, snakes and many others) in a recreated natural environment to promote their development.
Option 2: Visit the Zoological Park of Vincennes
Inaugurated in 1934, it is the only zoo in the world to have been rebuilt during a restoration program from 2008 to 2014. The iconic symbol of the zoo is the artificial rock that can hide the boxes and technical premises. Around him, there are more than 2,000 animals, about 180 species (elephants, giraffes, rhinos, pandas, lemurs and many others).
Sweet break
Because the discovery of all these animals can be tiring, even the most curious explorers have the right to take a break. The children will be able to regain strength to continue the visit.
